post age of innocence

how old is too old for the sparks that fly between two infatuated individuals? or how old is too old for infatuation? there must be a border where the juvenile concept of crush ends and the more advanced level of true admiration begins. or the more frequent lust; and it most likely is that.

aren’t sweet nothings and mushy lovelorn notes reserved for the adolescents of moistening eyes, trembling lips and clammy hands? there must come a time when sweet becomes spice, and moistening and trembling happen to some other body parts. but the hands always get clammy.

when is the age when love stories cease to unfold from friendster? when it becomes a sordid infantile shame for lovers’ quarrels to arise from grabbing other girls’ photographs? that may be a cause for argument on any level, but authentic relationships transcend the contemporary habits of cyber social networks. am i wrong?

at what age should a woman realize that the tingling sensation she gets upon laying eyes on her desired man is not anymore that teenage spark kilig, but a mounting sexual tension, growing like a tumor?

i know i have no right to lambast the pratice of this woman in pre-menopausal stage when this cyber romance is the one thing that motivates her to move on. so never mind the annoying lovesick messages, the frequent updates of their unfurling love story (others can pretend that they care one bit), the gtalk status proclaiming he is the only reason she moves on with strength and inspiration. all in teenage fashion. never mind.

for others of the same age bracket and in the same situation, i recommend they just get laid. and all of those strange sensations will go away. like waking up from a bizarre dream.

this seriously made me laugh. any relationships formed over the internet makes me think… only because there are some crazy people in cyberspace.

yes, tons of crazy people. actually, i don’t mind people who engage in cyber relationships. for as long as they don’t assume that their romance could legitimately deepen without the benefit of personal encounters.

grabe na gyud! capital D.. as in Desperation! Clinging on to dear love!
I dont think it’s lust, Tess. I don’t think a random sexual encouter can cure it. I think it’s a desperate cry for an ego-boosting, self-esteem-satisying attention that only a sweetheart can give.
