and those spoiled brats, sheltered devils would rather complain to high heavens about the flood and heavy traffic in their gleaming suv’s as they watch insipid videos in their built-in dvd players/play mindless games on their psp/listen to their ubiquitous ipods, their flaring tempers thawing the frigid atmosphere, their rumps warming the cold seats, a complete contradiction from the wet, chilly, mottled scenes passing by their reinforced windshields.

and quentin tarantino, world-famous writer-director, one of the best-respected persons in america, a-list hollywood celebrity would rather (in his barong tagalog) step out of the limousine, take a pedicab across the flood, and wade through the street-water in his sandals on his way to meet the president in malacanang. then he would get out of his rain-drenched dress slacks to change into jogging pants (still in his barong tagalog), kick off his soggy sandals (because they’re not allowed in the palace) and wear ill-fitting leather shoes instead.

and he says, “it was a lot of fun. it’s the way it is, i guess. it was wild… no worries. i’ve done more serious things than that.”

As promised, respond ko’s imong blog.

I won’t be surprised if he includes a pedicab ride in his next movie. Imagine this, “The Pedicab Avenger”.

by sheer stroke of coincidence, one of the quentin tarantino commercials leading towards cinemanila showd three pulp fiction-y characters getting into a pedicab.

any shots of tarantino’s jogging-barong, from top to bottom? my bro’s a chef at malacanang and he was the one who told me about this fashion faux pax.

hi joseph, i’m afraid i don’t have that. hmmm… and i wouldn’t consider it a faux pas given the circumstances. i believe his dress slacks were soaked in the rain and/or flood. so he had to change into the jogging pants.

hi judge dredd, yep i believe you can find it in youtube. quentin tarantino, cinemanila commercial. there are two of them.

if nobody complained, nothing would improve and we’d still be in the dark ages. but i suppose, rather than just complain, one must take action. otherwise, you’re just a lazy loud mouth.

hwelll, there’s a difference between complaining to thin air and complaining to the right avenues. now, given the conditions of these avenues in the country, complaining doesn’t get us anywhere.

it was innovation which got people out of the dark ages.

yep, taking action is always a good option.
